POLICIES

Before any service, a Consent Form must be reviewed before you sign.

For clients under 18, a guardian signature is required.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​APPOINTMENT GUIDELINES​

  • Please arrive on time — no more than 10 minutes early. â€‹Arrivals over 15 minutes late may result in a shortened or rescheduled appointment and may incur additional charges.

  • Arrive makeup-free, without face oil, sunscreen, or contact lenses. Avoid caffeine before your appointment. For more details, see the FAQ page under "What to Expect".

SERVICE PAYMENT​​

  • A deposit is required to secure your booking and is refundable only when cancellation occurs with 24 or more hours’ notice, in accordance with the cancellation policy below. Deposits and prepaid amounts are applied toward applicable cancellation or no show fees.

  • Payment Options: Cash, E-Transfer, Credit/Debit, PayPal, Google/Apple Pay, Sheer Lash eGift Cards. Payment is due immediately after your appointment unless prepaid, and includes applicable taxes.

CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOW FEES​

  • Cancel with 24 or more hours’ notice: You will receive a full refund of your deposit and any prepaid amount.

  • Late Cancellations (within 24 hours of the appointment): A cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service cost plus applicable tax will apply. Any deposits or prepaid amounts will be applied toward this fee.

  • No Shows: A fee of 100% of the scheduled service cost plus applicable tax will apply. Any deposits or prepaid amounts will be applied toward this fee.

  • Frequent Changes: After two late cancellations or no shows, future bookings will require a 100% non-refundable deposit paid through a secure payment link.

Please Note: As a small business, short notice cancellations prevent appointments from being rebooked and result in lost business. Thank you for respecting these policies and for your understanding 🖤

HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDELINES​​

  • Sheer Lash & Beauty is an AHS-approved personal service facility, inspected and approved by Alberta Health Services for compliance with sanitation and safety standards.

  • The studio operates from a pet-friendly home shared with a friendly cat; however, the lash room itself is a designated, pet-free, and fully sanitized space that meets Alberta Health Services standards to ensure a clean, professional environment.

  • Feeling unwell? Please reschedule — masks do not override this policy. If you arrive sick, your appointment will be cancelled and standard cancellation fees may apply.

  • Allergies and sensitivities vary by individual. For new clients, a Patch Test is strongly recommended prior to any lash extension application. Allergic reactions and individual sensitivities are not eligible for refunds.

RETENTION & FILLS

  • Retention Issues? Please report within 48 hours for assessment; fees may apply afterward.

  • Fill Policy: If less than 40% of lashes remain, a full new set is required and charged accordingly.

  • Foreign Fills: If you already have lash extensions from another artist, please select the "Foreign Fill Add-On" when booking. This allows extra time to assess and blend your existing set if needed. The add-on is $20 and adds 45 minutes to your appointment. If this add-on is required and was not selected at booking, your appointment may need to be adjusted, charged accordingly, or rescheduled.

REFUNDS​​

  • No refunds on completed services. If you are not 100% satisfied, please contact me within 24 hours so we can resolve any issues!

LOYALTY PROGRAM & REWARDS

  • Earn points on completed, paid services over $55. Clients who register receive a one-time 10-point bonus to jumpstart rewards!

  • Points can be redeemed for discounts on fills and lash care products! Points are non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and may not be combined with other offers unless explicitly approved.

  • For after-hours or statutory holiday appointments, loyalty redemptions require prior approval only if the studio is closed. If open, standard redemption rules apply.

AFTER-HOURS & STAT HOLIDAYS REQUESTS

  • A $40 after-hours fee (plus applicable taxes) and a non-refundable deposit of 50%–100% of the total service cost (including tax) are required. The exact deposit depends on the request. Payment can be made by e-transfer or secure pay link. Availability is limited and not guaranteed.

  • Statutory Holidays: If I am open, the after-hours fee does not apply. If I am closed, all above requirements apply.​​

  • Discounts, promos, and loyalty redemptions are not guaranteed and may not apply to after-hours or holiday bookings. These are approved strictly at my discretion.

APPOINTMENT REFUSAL​​

  • For your safety and satisfaction, I reserve the right to refuse service due to allergies, poor lash health, or failure to follow these policies. For more information, see the FAQ page under "General Info".

All services are performed in an Alberta Health Services–approved studio located in SW Calgary’s Pine Creek community.
