Appointment Guidelines

Arrival: Please arrive on time and no more than 10 minutes early.Late arrivals: Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may result in a shortened or rescheduled appointment and may incur applicable fees.Before your appointment: Please arrive without eye makeup, face oil, sunscreen, or contact lenses. Health & Safety

Sheer Lash & Beauty operates from an Alberta Health Services approved home based personal service facility and follows required sanitation and safety standards.Feeling unwell: Please reschedule if you are sick. Wearing a mask does not override this policy. Clients who arrive unwell may have their appointment cancelled and applicable cancellation fees may apply.Pets: The studio is located in a pet friendly home with a cat and dog. The lash room is a designated pet free space, and pets are not permitted inside. Please advise me before booking if you have pet allergies.Allergies & sensitivities: Reactions can occur even if you have previously worn eyelash extensions without an issue. A Patch Test is strongly recommended for first time clients or anyone concerned about a possible sensitivity.Allergic reactions and individual sensitivities are not eligible for service refunds.

Question 3

Natural Lash Health & Suitability

Eyelash extensions require a sufficient number of healthy natural lashes for safe application and are customized according to the condition and strength of your natural lashes.Your lash artist will determine the appropriate length, weight, curl, and amount of extensions and may modify a requested style when necessary to protect your natural lashes.A service may be modified, postponed, or discontinued if continuing could compromise the health or safety of your eyes, surrounding skin, or natural lashes.Please advise Sheer Lash & Beauty of any relevant allergies, sensitivities, eye conditions, recent eye procedures, medications, or health changes before your appointment.Results and retention vary between clients and cannot be guaranteed.

Booking Deposits & Payments

A booking deposit is required to secure your appointment and is applied toward your appointment balance.The remaining balance is due immediately after your appointment, unless prepaid.Appointments outside regular business hours, on weekends, or on statutory holidays are subject to additional deposit or prepayment requirements. Please see Outside Regular Hours & Holiday Bookings policy for details.Payment Options: Cash, Interac eTransfer, Credit or Debit, PayPal, Google or Apple Pay, or Sheer Lash eGift Cards.

Question 5

Cancellations, No-Shows & Rescheduling

Cancellations24 or more hours notice:For appointments during regular business hours, any booking deposit or prepaid amount will be refunded.For appointments outside regular business hours, on weekends, or on statutory holidays, the nonrefundable booking portion is retained regardless of notice provided. Any prepaid amount above that portion will be refunded.Less than 24 hours notice:Cancellations within 24 hours are subject to a fee equal to 50% of the total appointment cost, including applicable booking fees and taxes.Any deposit or prepaid amount will be applied toward the fee. Amounts paid above the applicable cancellation fee will be refunded.No ShowsFailure to attend without notice is subject to a fee equal to 100% of the total appointment cost, including applicable booking fees and taxes.ReschedulingAt least 24 hours notice is required to reschedule. Deposits and prepaid amounts may be transferred to a new appointment once only.Additional appointment changes will be treated as a cancellation and are subject to the applicable cancellation policy.After two late cancellations or no shows, full prepayment may be required for future appointments.Any deposit or prepaid amount will be applied toward applicable cancellation, no show, or late rescheduling fees.

Question 6

Weather & Emergency Rescheduling

If an appointment must be rescheduled due to severe weather or unforeseen circumstances, your booking deposit will be held as a credit.The credit must be used within 14 days of the original appointment date or it will expire.Any prepaid gratuity will be refunded.

Question 7

Fills & Retention

Retention concerns: Please contact Sheer Lash & Beauty within 48 hours of your appointment for assessment. Fees may apply after this timeframe.Fill timing: Fill pricing is based on the booking window since your previous appointment rather than an exact number of days.Minimum retention: At least 40% of your extensions must remain to qualify for a fill. If less than 40% remains, a Full Set will be required and charged accordingly.Maximum fill window: Fill appointments are available up to 3 weeks from your previous appointment. Appointments beyond this timeframe require a Full Set.Foreign fills: Extensions applied by another lash artist require the $40 Foreign Fill Add On and additional appointment time. If the required add on is not booked, the appointment may be adjusted, charged accordingly, or rescheduled.Foreign fills cannot be guaranteed without the appropriate appointment time reserved.

Outside Regular Hours & Holiday Bookings

Available upon request and subject to availabilityA nonrefundable booking deposit of 50% of the total appointment cost, including applicable fees and tax, is required for weekday appointments outside regular business hours.Weekend and statutory holiday appointments require full prepayment. Of this amount, 50% of the total appointment cost is nonrefundable and will be retained if the appointment is cancelled.All deposits and prepayments are applied toward the appointment balance and are subject to the cancellation, rescheduling, and no show policy.Payment may be made by Interac eTransfer or secure pay link.Early & Extended HoursAppointments beginning before 9:00 AM, extending past 5:00 PM Monday to Thursday, or extending past 4:00 PM on Fridays, are subject to a $10 fee for every 15 minutes outside regular business hours, up to a maximum of $40 per appointment, plus applicable taxes.15 minutes: $1030 minutes: $2045 minutes: $3060 minutes or more: $40 maximumThe fee is based on the scheduled appointment time and does not increase if the appointment runs late due to normal service timing.After Hours & Weekend AppointmentsAppointments beginning at 5:00 PM or later Monday to Thursday, at 4:00 PM or later on Fridays, or scheduled on weekends, are subject to a flat $50 booking fee plus applicable taxes.Statutory HolidaysAppointments requested on a statutory holiday when Sheer Lash & Beauty would otherwise be closed are subject to a flat $50 holiday booking fee plus applicable taxes.All appointments outside regular business hours, on weekends, or on statutory holidays are offered at my discretion and are subject to availability.Discounts, promotions, and loyalty redemptions may not apply to these appointments and are approved at my discretion.

Question 9

Loyalty Program & Rewards

Loyalty points are earned on eligible completed and paid services and may be redeemed for qualifying fill or lash care rewards.Points have no cash value, are nontransferable, and may not be combined with other offers unless approved.Redemptions for appointments outside regular business hours, on weekends, or on statutory holidays require prior approval.For earning details, available rewards, and complete terms, please visit the Loyalty Program page.

Question 10

Refunds & Service Refusal

Completed services are nonrefundable.If you have concerns about the appearance of your lashes, please contact Sheer Lash & Beauty within 24 hours so they can be assessed. Any complimentary adjustment is subject to technician assessment.If symptoms of an allergic reaction develop, please contact Sheer Lash & Beauty as soon as possible. A complimentary professional removal is available within 48 hours of the service.Sheer Lash & Beauty reserves the right to modify, postpone, discontinue, or refuse a service when necessary for client safety, natural lash health, or failure to follow studio policies.For additional information, please visit the FAQ page under General Info.
