Is your lash studio approved by Alberta Health Services?

Yes. Sheer Lash and Beauty is a fully approved personal service facility under Alberta Health Services (AHS).

My home-based studio was inspected and approved for providing lash extension services in compliance with AHS hygiene and facility standards. This ensures all equipment, tools, and procedures meet provincial safety and sanitation requirements for your peace of mind.

Question 4

Do you have pets in your home based lash studio?

Yes. My studio is located in a pet friendly home with a cat and a dog. The lash room is a designated pet free space, and pets are not permitted inside at any time. The room is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before appointments. Clients may occasionally cross paths with our pets in shared areas of the home.If you have pet allergies, please let me know prior to booking so additional precautions can be taken for your comfort.

What payment methods are accepted?

Accepted Answer

We accept cash, E-Transfer, Credit/Debit, PayPal, Google/Apple Pay, and Sheer Lash eGift Cards. Payment is due after your appointment unless prepaid.

You can prepay online using Google Pay, Apple Pay, or Credit Card at the time of booking. If you have a promo code, be sure to apply it before finalizing your payment.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes, eGift Cards can be purchased directly on our website here.These digital gift cards can be customized with your desired amount, delivered instantly or scheduled for a later date, and used exclusively for Sheer Lash and Beauty bookings and product purchases. They never expire, making them a great gift for any occasion!Please note: eGift Cards are final sale, non-refundable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.

What steps should I follow to reschedule or cancel my appointment?

You can manage your appointment online if it is more than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time.

If you booked the appointment yourself through the website, you will have the option to:
• Reschedule your appointment
• Cancel your appointment

If your appointment was booked by your technician, only the cancellation option will be available online. To reschedule these appointments, please contact your technician directly.

To access your appointment online:
Log into your account using the email address you used to book.
Click the menu icon "☰".
Select Profile, then Booking History.
Click Manage on the appointment you wish to change.
You will receive a confirmation email once your change is complete.

Online changes are no longer available within 24 hours of your appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule during this time, please contact your technician directly by text message at 587.896.2327. Please note that changes made within this timeframe may be subject to cancellation fees.

Cancellation Policy
• Cancel 24+ hours in advance: Full refund if prepaid.
• Cancel within 24 hours: 50% of the service cost plus tax will be charged.
• No show appointments: 100% of the service cost plus tax will be charged.
Any booking deposit paid will be applied toward the applicable cancellation or no show fee.

What should I know about your refund and cancellation policy?

Refunds are not offered for completed services. If you have concerns with your lashes, please contact Sheer Lash & Beauty within 24 hours of your appointment to discuss possible adjustments.Cancellation Policy:• 24 or more hours notice: Any booking deposit or prepaid amount will be refunded for appointments scheduled during regular business hours.• Less than 24 hours notice: A cancellation fee equal to 50% of the total appointment cost, including applicable booking fees and taxes, will apply.• No shows: A fee equal to 100% of the total appointment cost, including applicable booking fees and taxes, will apply.Appointments scheduled outside regular business hours, on weekends, or on statutory holidays have separate booking terms. Any nonrefundable booking portion paid to secure these appointments will be retained if the appointment is cancelled, regardless of notice provided.Booking deposits and prepaid amounts will be applied toward any applicable cancellation or no show fees.After two late cancellations or no shows, full prepayment may be required for future appointments.For complete details, please review the Cancellation, Rescheduling & No Show Policy and Outside Regular Hours & Holiday Bookings sections of the Policies page.

Under what circumstances might a lash technician deny my request for a service?

Service may be refused due to, including but not limited to:
- Allergies or sensitivities to lash extension products or adhesives.- Active eye infections, contagious eye conditions, or other conditions that may make the service unsafe.- Weak, damaged, or unhealthy natural lashes that cannot safely support extensions.- Previous adverse reactions to lash extensions or adhesive.- Medical conditions or medications that may contraindicate lash extension application.- Unrealistic expectations regarding the results that can be safely achieved.- Failure to follow studio policies, including repeated late arrivals, missed appointments, or booking policy violations.- Repeated improper aftercare or retention concerns that prevent safe or effective application.- Disrespectful, abusive, or inappropriate behaviour.- Any situation where the technician believes proceeding with the service would be unsafe or not in the client's best interest.
